Originally from New York City, Peter has been working for the school since 2012 as the Head CELTA Tutor in Miami Beach. He has been teaching ESL/EFL for over 20 years in a variety of situations and lived in Europe for 13 years teaching in Prague, Vienna, Rome and London. His English teaching experience has included everything from General English to Business English, teaching specific purpose classes (such as to the military in Rome!) to teacher training in Prague, and university level composition classes to non-native speakers. He has also taught TOEFL, CAE, IELTS and BEC exam preparation classes. Peter was the director of English language programs at 2 different American universities in Rome and at a summer boarding school for young learners. He became a Cambridge CELTA trainer in New York City when he returned to the United States in 2008 and has free-lanced as a trainer at centers in Seattle, Denver and New York; he discovered the school one summer here in Miami Beach. He is theater-trained, which comes in very handy when teaching and training, he could spend every night watching a good play with good acting. Teacher training brings out the theater director in him, which is one of the reasons why he enjoys it so much. In addition, he can go to the beach after teaching practice!
