The Czech Republic has a population of approximately 10 million people and lies in the centre of Europe. It is often considered the gateway to Western Europe.
Prague is the capital of the Czech Republic and has approximately 1.2 million inhabitants. Most people agree that living in Prague is less hectic than in other cities. This is due to the fact that the pace of life in Prague and particularly the Czech Republic is significantly slower than in the United States and England. Many foreigners have the impression that the Czech people seem distant and cold, but once you get to know them they become very friendly. The Czech language is considered to be one of the most difficult in the world. It is unfairly judged to be a waste of time to learn the language because of this difficulty and because most people in Prague speak some English. Although grasping the language is difficult, it is strongly recommended that you learn at least the basics if you intend to continue living in the Czech Republic. Our partner school is one of the oldest private language-learning establishments in Prague. Given the growing regional and global demand for qualified, well-trained teachers in recent years, it has expanded to teach and administer TEFL training programs.
The school was founded in 1992. When it first opened, the school had a meagre twelve students. By the year 2000, mostly through word of mouth, this number had increased by almost forty fold. Today, the school employs over 35 full-time teachers and has a student base of almost a thousand.
Our partner school is situated in the centre of the city with Wenceslas Square, a mere five-minute walk away. Since there is a metro and a tram stop less than two hundred meters from the school it is very accessible, no matter which part of the city you are coming from.

Our staff is a team of young and experienced people, ready to help you in every situation and guide you on your way through Prague as well as to your TEFL placement afterwards. We will do the best to help you at all times.
The number of students in courses is limited
In order to provide you with optimally-sized courses each course is made from 8 to 12 trainees, limited to a maximum of 14.
Top quality and experienced trainers
At any given time, the school employs around 35 full-time teachers. Since English is by far the largest of our language programs, many of our teachers are native speakers hailing from the United States, Canada, and the U.K. The majority of our teachers have stayed with our Partner School for at least two years, and we credit this to the school's friendly, cooperative environment, and excellent students. Of course, since we are always in the business of expanding, we are constantly on the lookout for new teachers and new ideas about teaching.
Your teaching experience
We know that knowledge is important to teach English, but real world practice is essential. During the course, you will spend over 14 hours obtaining teaching practice while being observed by teacher-trainers, including four different levels: beginner, intermediate and advanced classes (unique to our partner school), and one-on-one business practice. This puts all your theory into practice in the real world!
Free Czech lessons
Throughout your TEFL course you will have the opportunity to take advantage of 8 hours of survival Czech lessons. This will provide you with an excellent perspective enabling you to experience being a student learning a new language, not to mention handy phrases you might need to use later.
TEFL certificate
A highly-intensive TEFL certificate which meets all international standards and combines the most effective instructional teaching methods through workshops, guest speakers, video, audio, trainer observations, and teaching practice.
